Based in Taipei, Taiwan, and offering services to some 25 destinations across the Far East and Australia, Eva Airways are owned by the Evergreen Cargo transport group. Eva Air operates a fleet of "combi" aircraft with part of the interior carrying cargo, and another part carrying passengers. As such, boarding one of their Boeing 747 planes is a little disconcerting, as the cabin seems far smaller than normal.
The plane is separated into four separate booking classes. Economy class offers a seat pitch of 34 inches, and onboard service includes free drinks, meals, and entertainment on cabin monitors. The latest films are shown, and there are a number of audio channels to listen to. Baggage allowance is 20KG.
Evergreen Deluxe is the premium economy class. Seats feature a 38-inch seat pitch, seat back televisions, and are wider than standard economy. Meals are improved upon economy class, and baggage allowance is 25KG.
In Super Business Class, passengers enjoy comfortable seats with a 44-inch seat pitch. There is an extensive menu to choose from, and top class entertainment on board. Passengers can use the VIP lounge prior to travel, and baggage allowance is 30KG.
In Super First Class, the 8 first class passengers have a sleeper seat with duvets and pillows provided. In seat entertainment is via a personal television, and meal service is of restaurant standard. Priority check in is included, as is lounge access.
