British Midland, or BMI as the airline is now known is the second largest British Airline and operates flights to 38 destinations worldwide including Riyadh, Las Vegas, and Barbados. The airline is based at Nottingham East Midlands Airport, although it operates flights from most UK departure points, and is a popular choice for "add-on" flights from regional airports for long haul departures with airlines such as Emirates, South African Airways, United Airlines, and Thai International.
BMI offer 3 separate classes. Economy class offers the cheapest airfares, seat pitch is 32 inches, and on long haul flights, there is a bar service, hot meals, a 20KG baggage allowance, and a complimentary copy of the Daily Express Newspaper for all passengers. All passengers can enjoy entertainment on a personal seat back television.
Premium Economy (formerly known as New Economy) offers more space and comfort. Seat pitch is 38 inches, seat back televisions are available on all seats, passengers receive priority boarding, and there is a fully qualified chef on board to deal with all catering.
Business class allows passengers to relax in comfortable sleeper seats with a 60-inch seat pitch. Passengers get priority boarding, increased luggage allowance and the chance to use one of the well-equipped lounges before take-off.
