The Irish national airline, Aer Lingus operates services to more than fifty cities across Europe and North America, including Dublin, Cork, New York and Boston. The airline was inaugurated in 1936, with a base in Dublin. The name translates as "Air Fleet".
Flights are predominantly aboard Airbus aircraft - A320 and A321 on short haul European flights, and A330 on the long haul transatlantic flights to the USA. In the past few years, the airline has moved towards being a no frills carrier on their short haul services, but they still offer all the creature comforts that travellers expect on long flights.
On Long haul flights in economy class, you can take a single piece of luggage weighing up to 20KG with you. The seat pitch is between 31 and 32 inches, and you can enjoy benefits including a complimentary bar, a full meal service, and a number of television and music channels that aim to offer something for all passengers.
Passengers who upgrade to business, or Premier class on Aer Lingus benefit from additional baggage allowance up to 30KG, enhanced seating with a seat pitch of around 52 inches, complimentary bar and restaurant quality meal service, and a personal video screen offering a choice of television programmes and top Hollywood movies. You also get access to the Gold Circle lounges at participating airports, where you can enjoy a few quiet drinks before take off.
